<----- check out the Thirty One Gifts Fundraiser!
We have been blessed once again. Basically we are trying to sell our car, truck and trailer. The truck is paid off, the car and trailer we owe more then they will sell for. We were selling the truck to get another ride and pay off the difference of the other two when we sell those. Ok so I hope that makes sense. So yesterday we sold the truck for less then we were asking, BUT the guy is basically giving us a chevy truck and an integra!! they both need alot work but it is awesome! Thank you Lord for Nick and his amazing ability with cars! We are so excited and so thankful. Now we just have to sell the car and 5th wheel and life will be less complicated.
We are hoping to have a date for the next catheter
today or tomorrow. The doc was trying to do a cardiac MRI at the same time so we wouldnt have to do anesthesia more then we have to, but it didnt work out. The MRI would give us a better look at the VSD's, i think it gives us a 3D picture. He is planning on doing a transesophiceal echocardiogram then though, which will give us a better look but not as good as the MRI. That will come, just later. We will also be doing something about the PDA device sooner then later. It stinks because that involves either a stint which would be done by catheter, but because she is growing, it would need to be watched closely and most likely changed as her heart grows. Our other option is fixing it permanently by open heart surgery. If we can get to a point to close the holes safely that would be the best time to do the PDA, but if we cant we will close it, then if/when the holes can be closed she would go to open heart surgery again.
The doctor filled out some FMLA paperwork for us and the feeling difference between hearing something and reading something is completely different. It is as if we can talk about how risky it is when we do any surgery on Haley and I completely understand the risk, but the second I see it written down it is like my heart bursts and I get kneed in the stomach at the same time. He wrote that we are hoping to do "high risk open heart surgery" this summer. That sucks.
We are going on Haley's very first bus ride field trip! We are going to a wildlife zoo. It will be the first time Haley will be on her oxygen in front of her classmates. I am nervous, she is not. Pray for me :-) I am very thankful we were able to get smaller tanks. She probably wouldnt be able to go with the bigger ones.
