Post Op Day 3

Last night went well. She was wake more. I was up with her until about 1am then nick took over. she was in and out of sleep a bit all night. She just fell asleep about 10am. We weaned the nitric. They turned it off around 1, but her O2 levels dropped with in about 3 minutes so they turned it back on to 1. They tried again at 4am and it has been successful so far! She is still on high O2. she is at 60% flowing at 15 liters per hour. It was 20 but last night we were able to drop it to 15. It has to be uncomfortable, when we take it off to wipe her nose the air is powerful enough to blow her bangs straight up. She is being a trooper with it though. To compare, she is on 1 liter per hour at home.
her O2 levels drop pretty good when we take it off to wipe her face. She is still on two meds that help her heart beat, but on pretty low doses though.
We are trying to work with her to get her to move around some. She has been so stiff for the past 3 days. Hopefully today we will get the folly cath, drain tube, arterial line, one iv, and the pace wires out. So she will be more free to move.
They took off her bandage off her chest. It looks pretty good. Not as scary as I had imagined. Shes not weirded out by it at all. She just takes things as they come, like its no big deal. I love it.

Her blood pressure keeps dropping and it freaks me out. There seems to be no reason, her BP and O2 levels drop then slowly go back up, which is a good thing because even though the alarms are going off no one comes in. Now if they didnt go back up, Id be hunting someone down. Her BP goes to low 60/30's. Right now it didnt go back up as high as Id like but its high enough the alarms turned off. 83/38. Freaks me out.

I saw this prayer today and I like it, especially this week. :-) Its written by Lysa TerKeurst.

Lord, Help me to keep my heart pure and undivided. Protect me from my own careless thoughts, words and actions. And keep me from being distracted by my wants, my desires, and my thoughts on how things should be. Fill me with Your Truth today and every day. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
