So we had the appointment. It took longer then planned but we had time to grab lunch and get to school on time. Our doctor is known as an optimist. He has always been the one telling us there is a chance that her pressures will change and surgery could be possible. Every doctors appointment its been no change, no change, no change, always expected. The echo that we do each month doesnt really give us a clue to what is going on with her pressures. So I am going to say this but please know it is not a perfect glimce in to our future. The doctor today said that he sees a bit more left to right shunting. Meaning the pressures in the right (pulmonary) side maybe lower then the left allowing the left side blood to go to the right side. So it is a good sign. The nurse should be calling me tomorrow to set up a date for the catheter. Where we will get the actual pressure and compare it to the numbers we got in august. The surgery will be a few hours then they will keep her for 6 hours after to make sure all is well.
After we get the results we will have another nation wide panel of pediatric PH experts discussing our Haley.
We also learned her liver function looks great. We get to do blood work again tomorrow. Not really looking forward to that.
I will update tomorrow after we get a date and give the info on our garage sale, (haley will be making apperances and selling cookies!)
