I do love our doctor but when he said the doesnt see any reason we should stay over night, I am glad Nick and I both thought...hahaha. Then we packed an over night bag.
So here we are almost 11am and we are still here. All is ok. Yesterday we had surgery, then 3 hours in recovery, 3 more in PICU then we could take off the pressure bandage, 2 more hours for observation of the site to make sure it was going to stay closed if she got up a bit. By that time it was already 11pm. Haley needed some meds for nausea which made her super tired. So we stayed the night, but with 3 shift changes and the fact we are not on the cardiac ICU info gets jumbled and overlooked. So we are still waiting for her 8am meds then we should be ready to go. I still love this hospital but redwe were spoiled in the cardiac ICU, those nurses only have 1 or 2 patients and we saw doctors quite abit. Here I think the nurses have 5 or 6 kids and we havent seen a doctor at all.
The surgeon did come and talk to us after surgery then our cardiologist came by and chatted for a while while we were in recovery. Its ok though.
Haley is doing well, she is tired and wants to get up and play. She has no pain. We got the bandage tape off last night while she was passed out. Which if you remember the last time and all the tape incidences, it was pretty lucky she stayed sleeping. She still has her IV.
We are so happy with the good news of meds working but please dont stop the prayers we still have a long way to go!!
