Thank you Jesus.

Haley did great! She had some nerves coming in, but once again she went back to the OR with no problem. We talked with the doctor before hand and he said that if there is change we will continue what we are doing and re cath in 3 months, if no change we will then discuss all our different options. So if change we would wait and do it again so we can get a better idea of how well and quickly the meds are working. We want to let the meds work as much as they can before we decide whether or not we can patch those holes.

SO....praise God, change has occurred! Which means more waiting but the doctors are very hopeful we will eventually be able to do surgery!

ok so here is what i have learned
Because Haley has 2 massive holes her pulmonary pressures will always be high, until they are fixed. So we cannot go by that measurement. We can however measure the resistance, I believe of her arteries pushing back.

A normal resistance is under 2. Back in august Haleys was 12 on room air. When they added O2 and N2O it went to 8. Today on room air she was at 7.5 and when only O2 was added she went to 4.5!!!!
Meaning the oxygen and meds are helping lower the pressure. They doctor also saw more left to right shunting!

Also awhile back I talked about her PH either being there from birth or it being caused by the holes. Well Dr. says the oxygen interacts with the smooth muscle inside the arteries, if it were irreversible or there from the beginning the chance of change would be slim to none.

Dr. is very encouraged and even more hopeful. We cannot say that her PH will improve at all or go away if they holes are fixed but we will always have hope! And it is starting to look like heart surgery is a really possibility! The fact is the holes get fixed and all goes well her life span will increase.

I will post more as we talk with docs. We are planning on continuing to see the doc every month for the next 3 months then do another cath then.

Continually pray! Thanks for all the prayers.
