Lung Biopsy part 2

Nick got to stay with Haley on Friday at the hospital while I went to work. He was stir crazy by the time I got there. Haley was discharged saturday afternoon. They gave us the decision to leave or stay. I was planning on staying, because her oxygen level was 90. She was in terrible pain and sluggish, she didnt want to move at all and  was unable to eat. She started to feel well enough to eat after noon so we got her lunch and she ate very well and kept it down! After that she perked up a bit, wanted to get up and was more herself. Her O2 levels were still that low but as her lungs clear up and the pain goes down, so she can breath more fully, they should go back up.
The nights are rough, she cant seem to find a comfy position to sleep in, and the meds dont last all night. Saturday night she got to watch a movie and sleep on the couch with daddy. She wakes up twice every night in pain, takes meds and gets a tummy rub, then she can sleep again. She probably wont return to school for a few more days. She also developed a pretty bad rash around where the drain tube and the medicine pump on her side.
It is really hard to see your baby hurting, and there is nothing we can do about it. She is taking what I consider adult pain meds. But I went to the pharmacy to get the Rx filled and the two meds together were $7.....you would think this is good, and it is except it means we have already hit our out of pocket max. We have some big bills coming our way. $8000 met in January. That has to be some kind of record!
So Haley is doing well. The doctors were very happy and a bit surprised that she is doing as well as she is. The docs who know her, werent as surprised, they know how she is. And while all this is going on Ashley is ill with a fever the whole time. She got to stay with grandma most of that time.
Both girls are doing well, thank you for your prayers.
