Biopsy results and surgery?

Lung Biopsy results the doc said were as one would expect. I dont totally understand all of this, but Ill tell you what I was told. In the next few weeks we are meeting with the pulmonologist and Ill get a better understanding. Anyway they classified PH as A, B, or C. A being the least severe and C being the most. Haleys PH is classified as a C.
Your arteries start at your heart and then branch off over and over again, until they branch millions of tiny arteries covering your lungs. Haley has some of her larger arteries that are very thick and hard, some are collapsed. Also has her lungs continue to develop they are growing new air sacs called alvioli, each alvioli has a tiny artery that grows to it. In  the average kid Haleys age it is 12 to 1,  there are 12 alvioli per 1 certain sized artery ( that branches off to each one) Some of Haley new alvioli do not have arteries growing to them. So she is 30 to 1, 1 artery for every 30 alvioli. This is quite confusing. So at the time we didnt know how this would affect any possible surgery.
All the doctors at PCH met again to discuss. There are some pulmonolgists that are adult PH specialists that just got privileges at PCH and wanted to be part of the team to help Haley, so thats exciting. Hopefully they will learn alot about pediPH so they can be specialists in AZ.
We met with the surgeon again friday, we didnt expect anything substantial to come out of this meeting. The surgeon came in and we talked awhile. We really feel comfortable with him. He came in with a plan!!
SO .... March 13, Haley will be having open heart surgery. (I may throw up) :-) We decided to fix her PDA and close the dominate VSD, Im pretty sure its the top one. The doctors believe there is a reasonable risk ratio. After the surgery we hope to better tailor therapy for her lungs. We have two doctors working together now to have a contingency plan, that means, I believe a set of plans for If this happens, then we do this. There is so much to it, Im pretty sure I have already confused everyone.
So the next few weeks we are meeting with different doctors and getting this set up.
Its seems unreal that we have a date, after thinking surgery is out of the question. I am nervous but I have confidence in God. Keep Haley in your prayers, especially for her to have peace and comfort.
